I think pretty much everyone knows it gets really cold in Northern WI! Fortunately we have been blessed with an Indian summer these last couple of weeks but the nights are getting cold, it got down to 29 degrees last night and soon these blue skies will be turning gray and the ground will freeze and be covered with a white blanket of snow. It’s a beautiful sight to see and with it brings new adventures and activities. But after the holiday’s pass, the newness wears off and it becomes almost to cold to snowshoe or ice fish, all you are left with to make the rest of the winter season bearable is the feeling of being cozy. Needless to say, we take our coziness very seriously around here! Sweaters, fuzzy socks, flannel sheets, Sherpa blankets, warm drinks and fires are all staple items around here. Nothing beats that warm, fuzzy, cozy feeling during the winter months, for me it really is one of life’s simple pleasures. I am particularly excited about this winter because my daughter will be turning two and I can hardly wait to introduce her to hot chocolate (of course hers will be sugar free and lukewarm), teach her how to build a snowman, make a snow angel, bake cookies and snuggle up in a cozy chair under our cozy blankets in our cozy pajamas! In anticipation for this winter I have browsed the web and found some extremely lovely and cozy items that I will be putting on my Christmas List and purchasing for my husband and daughter. I’ll leave the links to them below, incase you want to add them to your Christmas list as well.
Hope you all stay warm and cozy this winter!
